Old, Ancient, or Aged?

“Let’s stop using the word “old” to describe ourselves or others. Worn out shoes are old. People age. And like with all fine things, aging brings out qualities to be admired and valued.” I found this statement on my Face Book and it sparked the following.

I believe today’s progressive movement continues its historical philosophy, “if it’s old, throw it away, change it, or don’t use it”. This was certainly the case in 1912 when the 17th Amendment strong-armed its way into the Constitution. The system was old. It couldn’t possibly be of any value. People were smarter in 1912 than they were in the 18th century. Look how poorly this system worked in that day. All the politicians elected by politicians were crooked. Change the document. Save the Union!

When in truth it wasn’t the document that needed fixing. The plainly written parchment worked through a great many trials in our nation’s history which included the very writing of it, the startup problems of a new country, continued attacks by Britain and Spain, the Industrial Revolution, huge national growth, and the Civil War, to name a few. It worked because of those checks and balances incorporated within this aging document. It was mankind who elected those politicians to the state legislative bodies. Those people elected the federal Senators. It wasn’t the system that broke, it was humans.

Now, one hundred and eleven years after the 17th Amendment took effect, the Federal Government is so far out of balance there are death panels to determine who of our aged population receives healthcare, or more to the point, to determine those that will not receive healthcare. Now, federal court judges become activists and use their power to create law. Now, the Attorney General of the US resigns to elude prosecution. Now, a President can throw out the Constitution in favor of his phone and pen.

No, it wasn’t the Constitution broken in the early 1900s. Yes, it had seen some trying times. Yes, the same arguments discussed during the Constitutional Convention were still around. They still are today. But these arguments are not what the delegates ratified, unanimously. The Constitution’s existence up to 1912 performed like the opening statement here. It became more refined. It grew to be admired and respected around the world. It still is, or there wouldn’t be hordes of people crossing our borders in search of the American Dream.

And the basis of that dream stems from the Bill of Rights, otherwise known as the first ten amendments. These, too, are aging gracefully, but they are under attack by the progressives. Make no mistake about it. These Amendments have been around since 1792. That’s two hundred and thirty-four years. That’s way too long to suit progressives. The liberals would rather see you lose these rights, than protect them for the ages.

Stand up, America. Get off the couch on Election Day. Go Vote! Your Bill of Rights will disintegrate before your eyes if you do not.

Are you old and of no value?

America's Responsibility

The Protestant Reformation guaranteed our ability to understand the scriptures in our own language. The execution of Mary Queen of Scots ensured British rulers knew law applied to them as well as to the people. The history of the colonies in America documented two hundred and fifty years of preparation before our forefathers  created a new form of government. America’s first try at government failed.
When the constitution hit the streets, everyone knew it required statesmen of character and morals to provide America with the best hope for the future. In today’s society, you have every right to ask, “Where are they?”
Some of you already decided to vote along party lines in the election, probably because it’s what you’ve always done. Maybe you learned the party platforms and determined which one best represented you. Some of you struggle with your Christian worldview and wonder how you can vote at all given the circumstances. Some of you already determined there is no hope with the two candidates expected to win. Many of you are thinking my vote won’t make a difference.
I’d like to point out your responsibility.
Our constitutional republic requires your vote. We subject ourselves to cultural and media sources that tell us, “Your vote doesn’t count, especially in upstate NY.” Some have even said, “What difference does it make?” It certainly won’t if you stay home. The truth, as I see it, is your vote is your responsibility. It is required in order to adequately represent your way of thinking. Until everyone votes, neither candidates nor incumbents will understand America’s strength.
The shame of America rests in the low turnout of voters. As long as people stay home from the polls, they will certainly NOT have a voice. Our right to representation guaranteed by the constitution is moot if you stay home. If you stay home, every other one of your rights is in jeopardy. If you stay home, church, God’s voice in the election disappears. Think about it. In a country where we are given the right to elect godly representatives, the Christian vote has been so low godly representatives don’t often run for office. The only way that will change is if YOU change it. Sitting home isn’t an option. If you don’t vote, you’ll have no right to voice an opinion about how bad things get when the country falls further into decline toward godlessness.
Do not pass on your God given right, responsibility, and civic duty. Your vote does count. There’s too much at stake in this election for your voice not to be there. Rather than vote for the lesser of two evils, vote for the better of the candidates. Make America’s history report a turning point back toward God.

Awaken America!

There comes a time when it becomes necessary to expose the general public to those things that create lack of discernment in the arena of life. In particular I’d like to address the Constitution of the United States of America and how the last one hundred years has blinded the majority of everyday citizens.

Most people have at least heard the consternation voiced by child rearing parents concerning common core. What most people don’t know is that as early as 1898 John Dewey published an essay about how to influence our democratic republic toward a socialist state. In "The Primary-Education Fetich” he damns high literacy and advocates for programs in education that dumb down a child’s natural ability to learn language skills. That makes one hundred and seventeen years of negative influence in our schools and colleges; one hundred and seventeen years of teaching children socialist views; one hundred and seventeen years of influencing children to be socialists in thought and deed.

In addition to Dewey’s skewed intelligence, he also had the ears of the Rockefellers to the point where they funded education programs that would become the norm. In today’s world, the rich continue to believe that only they can be intelligent enough to run the country or make decisions about everyday life for the masses. They inhabit the universities and they publish education’s text books and they found the government offices to be places of refuge.

Well, the truth of it is that they are likely to be correct. They’ve had one hundred years to make sure that you were prohibited from learning how to learn. They’ve convinced you that they are so important that they can make better decisions for you than you can. They’ve been giving you whatever you’ve asked for, including living spaces, healthcare, transportation, food and a phone. Why would you ever consider that what they say isn’t in your best interest?

And that’s the point.

Today America sits on the verge of collapse from a runaway Federal Banking System, to lawlessness within our government, to an influx of illegal aliens focused on destroying the American Republic, to local and state governments chipping away at what were once constitutionally guaranteed rights; rights that were designed and put into place to guarantee people the opportunity to throw out the bums.

Now is the time to open your eyes and your brain. Now is the time to stand up and be counted. For if you do not take an active position in protecting the very rights on which our country was founded, your children and grandchildren will suffer great consequences after you have been removed. It is coming down to that.

Within our Republic there are forces at work to create great consternation and revolt. If the revolt gets physical, as in military battle, there will be such disconnect to our way of life that other nations will find ways to take advantage of the rebellion. You will soon see how weak and unorganized our country is. We will not be defeated by a foreign country until we have handed ourselves the defeat. Some may remember the cartoon caption, “We have met the enemy and it is us.” The only way that we can be our own worst enemy is to stand down at a time when standing in the gap is the correct formation.

People, find a way to stand in the gap, to rebuild the walls of the Republic, to keep a watch for an enemy lurking beyond the wall. They are there and they are prepared. Don’t let it happen on your watch. Get to the voting booth. Do not abdicate your right to vote. Your vote does matter; it does count. Your neighbor’s vote counts, as do your relatives’ votes. Find an official that sees life as you do and vote them in. They are out there. Remember, the “others” will try to tell you who to vote for. Don’t fall for it. Learn who speaks the truth and understands what a statesman does while in office. Throw out the politicians. Let America resume its place as an economic and powerful leader of the free world and change the way the next one hundred years will be noted by historians.
